Michael Taylor
Michael Taylor, a renowned Australian artist, was born in Hobart in 1950. Prior to embarking on a full-time painting career in 1973, he worked in photography and design. His debut exhibition, held at the Stanley Hill Galleries Centrepoint Sydney, was a resounding success, with all works sold out. Subsequently, he held numerous one and two-man exhibitions, collaborating with artists such as Patrick Shirvington and Warwick Fuller. His paintings are now highly sought after, with both corporate and private collections, including Westpac and Commonwealth Banks, featuring his works.
Over the years, he has exhibited at several prestigious galleries, including Styles Gallery Sydney, Prouds Gallery Sydney, Saints Gallery Carlton, Moulton Gallery Mona Vale and Mosman, North Shore Gallery Gordon, Hesley Gallery Orange, Articles Gallery Stanwell Park, and Argyle Gallery The Rocks Sydney. His subjects range from detailed landscapes, birds, flowers, and still life, with his preferred mediums being oil, acrylic, and gouache.
