Erin Hill
Erin spent her professional life as a graphic designer in Advertising. In 1985 she decided to change direction and do a 4 year Fine Art Diploma at Julian Ashton Art School. This was the beginning of the Balmoral relationship. She began painting in oils, but after a watercolour course was converted. It wasn't long before Erin decided that these local watercolours would make great cards and prints. So began the first Balmoral and Sydney series. Every painting is a story, and the subjects are chosen with a card series in mind. Paintings are to capture the essence of the location, wherever it is painted. In 2004, after several years with her own gallery, the largest selection of Balmoral and Sydney prints became available at Moulton Galleries in Mosman and Mona Vale. New designs are regularly added, and Erin continues to paint in Australia, NZ, France, Italy and the Greek Isles.
